Dear readers,
Just a note to say that if you plan to come today (Saturday), bring an umbrella or a rain jacket. It looks like it’s going to rain most of the day, and lamentably I do not have a good alternative to the outdoor counter service at present. Sorry for the inconvenience and I thank you for your longsuffering!
And a reminder that this is the last day we’ll be open until Wednesday, May 8.
Also, we should have kachapuri today, an eastern European cheesy bread with a runny-yolk egg on top, served hot. We’re trying it out in place of the breakfast sandwich for a bit. Still figuring it out (and the packaging…), but it sure is tasty. Eat it hot! Available till around 10am unless they sell out sooner.
Finally, Ellen’s Flowers plans to be here today with fresh tulips. Depending on the weather they’ll either be outside our shop or inside the hall. They’re fantastic flower growers, and plunking down a handful of bucks for their tulips is just about the best way I can think of spending money in this town. Besides kachapuri.
yours truly,
david the baker
