Dear readers,
It’s that time of year again. We’re looking for a couple of worthy candidates to work at the bakery and I wonder if you would pass this along to anyone who might fit the bill. The hiring letter and application can be found on our website under the Contact page here, though I will include the letter below for your perusal.
I’m asking for applications to be dropped off in person at the bakery on Tuesday, May 27 between 6-8pm.
Much obliged,
david

NIGHTINGALE BREAD
Seeks Worthy Candidates for Employment
We’re seeking a couple persons of hardy work ethic and stout moral fiber. Most of us have a fairly well-rounded set of tasks at the bakery which may include general kitchen prep work, counter sales, pastry and bread baking, and making hoagies.
The bakery offers a positive work environment with good camaraderie, a shared commitment to high quality efforts and products, and a complete absence of fluorescent lights. Most positions start at $17/hour which may increase quickly depending on performance, availability, and commitment. Retirement plans, annual bonuses, quarterly scheduled breaks, and significant allowances for shop products are among the many benefits of working at the bakery. Furthermore, we offer an alternative to the often mind-numbing, phoney-baloney work that has lamentably come to characterize our age, with the honest and good work of a traditional skilled practice and historic trade, work you can be proud of.
Seeking committed persons with the desire to work a minimum of 20 hours a week, and ability to work minimum two Saturdays a month. Attentiveness, professionalism, patience, and a disposition towards service all of great importance. Professional culinary experience not required, but an earnest attitude and persistent desire for excellence is.
All potential hires must complete a two-week trial period, which includes a handful of shifts worked out depending on availability, and does include a stipend.
Please fill out the application and include any relevant documents. Drop your application off and introduce yourself for a moment on Tuesday, May 27 between 6-8pm. Cheers.
